Rationale 

In life we need to set personal goals, manage deadlines and reflect on, and respond to, the ideas we encounter (Managing self). 

Purpose 

To develop independent work habits, goal setting skills, and establishes lifelong learning patterns, as well as promote and foster intrinsic motivation. 

Assessment 

The students are assessed informally by the teacher and peers. Formal testing of spelling and basic facts. 

Conclusion

Our students will realise the importance of independent learning outside the classroom and be able to manage themselves to achieve desired goals.
